1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data that the browser stores and sends back to the website with later requests. They can support a form or session, but also other purposes such as traffic measurement or advertising.
This policy covers the presentation website htools.gr. Live hotel installations and other websites may be configured differently.
2. What the current website uses
The current version uses one technical session cookie, which also protects the form. No Google Analytics, advertising pixels or similar tracking scripts are embedded in the new website.
Tab and menu selections work within the current page and are not stored in preference cookies or local storage.
3. Cookies, purpose and duration
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
htools_showcase | Keeping the session and protecting the form against forged requests (CSRF), as well as the temporary form data, the VAT check result and success or error messages. | Until the browser is closed (session cookie). The server session expires after about 24 minutes of inactivity. |
htools_showcase
Purpose: Keeping the session and protecting the form against forged requests (CSRF), as well as the temporary form data, the VAT check result and success or error messages.
Duration: Until the browser is closed (session cookie). The server session expires after about 24 minutes of inactivity.
The above is a first-party cookie in the category of strictly necessary technical cookies. The session cookie is not an advertising profile and does not contain your password in readable form. The duration shown reflects the installation's current setting.
4. When consent is required
Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the requested feature, such as the technical operation and protection of the form, are exempt from the prior-consent requirement. Information about their use is still required.
If non-essential trackers are added, appropriate information and a choice to accept or reject must come before they are activated. Simply continuing to browse is not such consent. The current site has no optional cookie category to enable.
More: Hellenic Data Protection Authority guidance on cookies and similar technologies.
5. Images and external links
The website's images, icons, fonts and style files are served from htools.gr. No third-party fonts or scripts are loaded. A link to Google Play, Karagiannis Group or another provider does not load the external page until you follow it.
If you follow an external link, that website may use its own cookies and policies. The product presentation that opens on a separate path, or a hotel installation, may load different resources; this list covers the new home page and these legal pages.
6. The mobile app
The native app uses local mechanisms for session data, settings and selected actions waiting to sync. These are not the same as the website's cookies. If the app opens web content, that page's policy also applies.
For account data, notifications, photos and location, see the Privacy Policy and your organisation's notice.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete htools.gr data or restrict cookies in your browser's privacy settings. Deleting them may remove temporary form data or messages. If you block the necessary cookies, sending a request may not work and the page may need to be reloaded.
If you prefer to contact us without the form, you can email info@htools.gr or call +30 211 333 1871. Messages and calls are still subject to the corresponding processing of contact details.
This policy is updated when cookie use changes. For the general rules of the service, see the Terms of Use.
